Villafranca de Bonany

Villafranca de Bonany lies to the east of Majorca and has 2625 inhabitants.
Only since the 17th Century is the village. The owner of a large country house had many privileges and rights were even allowed to talk about the residents. In the past, people lived there from agriculture, especially melons were harvested. Even today we celebrate a big melon festival in September. Today, many work in the brickyard at the entrance and work in construction. The fruit and vegetable trade has fallen sharply after a bypass was built, and thus hardly a car passing through Vilafranca.
The sights are in Vilafranca not the only thing is the Christ figure on the dome of the church. There is no mass tourism, but the numerous bars, cafes and restaurants invite you to take a break to watch the Mallorcan life.
